Kimi Cheah- Glass Artist of Museum of Glass

Kimi, Glass artist in Museum of Glass

Kimi Cheah, was born at 1975 in Penang.
He receive Advanced Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering of City & Guides(UK) since 1996.
He is an artist of Museum if Glass & member of Penang Art Society.

While taking his study, he also took his art education under his famous glass master,
Bowie Low, the Founder of Ibox Museum of glass.
During the long-houl journey under his master,he is trying in earnest to master the skills and techniques to creat a unique glass.
and for now, he has become the Glass artist of "The Museum of Glass".

In the museum, Kimi creates from large to large scale glass sculpture as well as other functional pieces,
including glass batik keychain, glass souvenirs,& also wall sculptures.

He is also specialize in fused glasses,sandblasting glasses, glass scuplture & glass painting.
Two of his favourite techniques are airbrushing and acrylic.

His earlier painting were used in airbrush method,gradually he moved to various style such as acrylic for his work,
which includes vibrant abstract & landscape, music, plant & also animal.

His masterpiece work may gound in "Museum of Glass"(Penang) and also
"I DO Gallery"(Glass Sculpture).
Not only his work has been purchased by  our local market, but also been purchased by wide range.
This motivation will lead him into create more sophisticated masterpieces.
