Longest Glass Batik Painting in Malaysia







                                                          Ever heard of Glass Batik Painting?
                                        Most of Batik comes with clothes, Purses, cosmetic bags and so on.
                                             But in our Museum, you are able to see batik that design on Glass.  
                                          We are the First glass Museum that do Batik Painting On Glass.

                                             The Glass Batik Painting is 40 feet long and is 5 feet tall.
                                            The Glass Batik shows the Malaysian's Culture,                                     
                                           which is comes together with our national flower, Hibiscus.
1 Malaysia, which is our Malaysia's slogan,
was located at the center of the Glass Batik.

These are all the process of making the Glass Batik.

First, we prepare few piece of large plain glass.
2nd. we draw the layout on the paper, then only we draw onto the glass.

Next, we do the cutting according to the layout that drawn onto the glass.

Next, we add stardust onto the glass. This makes the layout more obvious the a normal drawing.

After adding stardust, we proceed to the heating process. We put the large glass into a big oven, and heat under the temperature of 1200-1500 Fahrenheit. After heating, you are able to see the texture on the glass.at the same time, the stardust is already stick onto the glass.


The look after the heating process. This process per piece takes around 2- 3 days.

Next, we proceed to the drawing process which is done by our artist. They combine the color to make it more unique

After all the pieces is finish painted, we started the installation process. We brought it all the way from our factory, to Mt Erskine Showroom.
